So My Limbus Shell Shit the Bed…

In what can only be described as an amusing and amazing display of greed and corruption, my limbus linkshell leader went up and changed the rules of the linkshell last night. What a great thing to come back to.

Before, it was a simple and basic point system. You get points by going to runs. Getting drops cost points. Spend points to get drops. It worked out well for me, since I couldn’t attend more than one run a week at the time (ZNMs, Einherjar/Dyna, Salvage, and so forth). I could slowly build up points and hit the last piece of Homam I need (feet).

My Salvage leader vanished though (he was the one who encouraged me to join in the first place), leaving me with little to no connection in the shell. And last night, the leader of this shell decides that rules needed to be changed. “Anyone who didn’t like it could leave”.

So I did.

Basically, he was going to merc out drops. This isn’t a problem in of itself, but the gil would only go to the person who brought the buyer. You could sell any drop you wanted, as long as you had point lead. It would cost that person the same amount of points as if though they had bought the item themselves.

In other words: It’s a pyramid scheme. People at the middle-to-low end of the points list basically got nothing out of it, delusionally believing that some day they could get a piece of homam/nashira. The people at the top could merc out drops endlessly and get huge chunks of gil for it, and get the labor they needed from the people at the bottom.

It was an absolutely amazing display of greed I hadn’t seen in a very long time. Apparently this guy needs to upgrade a salvage body, and decided to use his limbus shell as a means to an end. Anyone who is staying in that linkshell that isn’t on the top four of that list has mental problems, and can’t see what’s actually going on in that shell.

Anyway, someone was kind of enough to listen to me vent rage and hate, to a point where maybe we’d start our own lowman limbus shell. I like the idea of lowmanning stuff, but I certainly don’t have the right jobs for it I don’t think. We’ll see if anything comes out of it.
