I’m really tired of people’s inability to be patient.
Our Salvage group has a rotating last member, which is kind of annoying, because they’re all the same type of person – looking for a quick way to get a Morrigan’s Robe. Apparently, everyone has RDM, BLM, or BLU leveled.
I don’t get why they can’t sit still. Drop rates in salvage fucking suck giant donkey dick. In spamming the Bhaf chariot and enough Arrapago to make me acutally hate Qiqirn over a three month period, we’ve gotten 0 25 AND 35 Morrigan Bodys (not to mention 0 Usu Feet 35). Yes, we bring Treasure Hunter 4 to the runs we need it. We can’t even fulfill our own group’s needs, let alone whoever we get to fill in that last slot.
And it’s always the first piece they want. It’s completely unimpressive when you get asked “What piece do you want first?”, that they retort, “Morrigan Body”. Not, like, “Skadi Feet” or “Usukane Feet” or even “Ares Body”. It’s. Always. “Morrigan Body”. And what invariably happens when they get what they want? They quit. As if though they say, “Well, I got my shit. Fuck you, fuckers!”
Of course, when you put in a consistent three months work of effort, you should be able to see the fruits of your labor, instead of being subjugated to shitty drop rates.
There has to be a balance, something in the middle.
They should really have some Rare/Ex dynamis currency type way of buying rare drops out of Salvage.
Like have the bosses drop three Archaic Widgets every kill. Three people from the group can all lot and win one each. You trade the Archaic Widget in to an NPC in Whitegate or whereever. The NPC keeps a tally. You get a 15, 25, or 35 piece of Salvage gear from the dude’s collection when you collect 30 Archaic Widgets. Maybe you can trade in 40 of them for one of the materials needed (Imp. Wootz Ingot, etc).
This is why, we decided that unless people could upgrade RIGHT NOW we wouldn’t prioritise bodies at all…and why I avoid at all cost recruiting peeps I don’t know :D I will /poke people on skype/msn/text to get peeps who aren’t loot whores.

… I see a pattern emerging. One person has a body as #2 (Ares) and I know he can afford it. I actually have MArduk’s body pieces #15 nd #35 and am likely to have the whole set until the server closes before upgrading.
