Fatigue has set in

So my Salvage leader up and vanished. Completely. Without warning.

After some (I presume) sleuthing and harassment, it turns out he’s found another game to play. A different shiny to distract him, I guess. He said the earliest he’ll be back is “after xmas”, meaning that our group has indeed finally dissolved into nothing.

I shouldn’t be as annoyed as I am, as I did get the Ares body pieces out of it. Of course, since I don’t have the gil — only ten fucking ingots to go! — I’ve conscripted myself to a sky linkshell. Yep, I’m back in fucking sky mercing out drops please someone just fucking shoot me in the face.

Actually, I haven’t signed on for the past week. Part of it is playing the horribly generic and comedicly bloody Dragon Age: Origins. But, really, I’m fatigued. Maybe just tired.

My patience and energy for this game and its playerbase is more or less at zero at this moment. It could change, it has before. I’ve found some new zeal or shiny to hold my interest in the game for just a little bit longer in the past, but considering how utterly fucking ridiculous, awful, lacking, and delayed the latest patch has been I struggle to find a reason to continue playing.

I find myself getting tired and impatient with the people I tolerate, which is a list that is rapidly diminishing, which really isn’t fair to them. The number of decent players who play this game well continues to get lower. If those players get replaced, they’re replaced with a younger, impatient lot with no interest in the adventure of the game other than numbers and getting their shit and getting out.

It’ll pass though. I’m sure. I wait with anticipation.
